Business rules¶
Checkout Config¶
The active checkout config defines the form people fill in when they place an order in Picsha DAM. When no config is active, a built-in default form is used: billing name and email, address, office, and priority (normal, high or rush).
A checkout config is written in JSON (a form schema plus layout settings). Only one config can be active at a time: tick Active on a config, or click Make Active in the list, to switch. Because this editor needs technical knowledge, we recommend asking Picsha support for changes. Office lists used in checkout are maintained by Picsha support.
Notifications¶
Notifications are emails sent when an order enters a status, for example to tell the customer an order is ready for pickup. Click Add New Trigger and fill in:
- Order Status Trigger: the status that sends this email.
- From Name, From Email, Reply To, To and Cc. Use [CUSTOMER_EMAIL] in To or Cc to send to the person who placed the order.
- Subject and Message. Tick Send as HTML if the message is HTML; otherwise line breaks are kept as typed.
- Enabled: untick to stop sending without deleting the trigger.
The subject and message can include these placeholders, which are filled in when the email is sent:
| Placeholder | Replaced with |
|---|---|
| [CUSTOMER_NAME] | The customer's name |
| [CUSTOMER_EMAIL] | The customer's email address |
| [ORDERNUM] | The order number |
| [ORDERTOTAL] | The order total |
| [STATUS] | The new status |
| [OFFICE] | The ordering office |
| [PICKUP] | Pickup details |
| [SHIPMETHOD] | The delivery method |
| [SPECIALINSTRUCTIONS] | The order's special instructions |
| [TODAY], [TODAY+N], [TODAY-N] | Today's date, or a date N days from today |
A notification is sent whenever an order's status changes to the trigger's status, whether in Picsha Lab or on the Orders page. It is not sent for orders created with Add Creative Order.
Fulfillers¶
Fulfillers are the lab technicians or workstations an order can be assigned to. Each has a unique Name, a Workstation value that is stored on assigned orders, and a Sort Order. Picsha Lab users can filter the order queue by fulfiller. Renaming a workstation doesn't change orders already assigned to it, and deleting a fulfiller leaves those orders as they are.
Locations¶
Locations describe where an order is in the lab, for example Job Control, a printer or Finishing. Each has a unique Name and a Sort Order. Picsha Lab users can filter the order queue by location. Orders store the location name, so renaming or deleting a location doesn't change orders already there.
