Searching

Type in the search box at the top of the page. Results update as you type, and the search covers the category, album or share you are in. To search everything, click All first.

  • Every word must match: "apple peach" finds assets matching both words. The words can be in different places, for example one in a tag and one in a label.
  • | finds either word: "apple | peach".
  • A leading - leaves something out: "apple -peach".
  • Quotes match a phrase or a whole multi-word tag: "New York".
  • Parentheses group: "(apple | peach) -pie".
  • The word you are typing matches partial tags, labels and file names: "wing" finds "wings". Add * to any word for the same effect: "wing*".
  • Words are matched against tags, detected objects and labels, named faces, descriptions, text found in images, file names and metadata.
  • A # in front of a word searches tags only: "#scenics" finds assets somebody tagged scenics, while "scenics" also finds the word in labels, descriptions, file names and metadata. Capitalisation does not matter. While you are still typing, the tag matches as a prefix ("#lava" also finds "#lava flow"); pick it from the suggestions or type a space after it to match exactly that tag.
  • Type # to pick from tag suggestions, or @ to pick a person or group. A picked tag or person whose name has spaces is written in quotes, for example #"New York", so it matches whole.
  • Click the ⊗ button to clear the search.

When mixing | with other operators, use parentheses to say what belongs together. Fuzzy matching (~) isn't supported. Click the magnifier for a short list of search tips.

To search by description, type what you are looking for in plain language, for example "two people shaking hands outdoors", and click the sparkle button. AI search runs only when you click the button.

Filters

Click the funnel button to filter the current results by:

  • Date taken and Date ingested (uploaded).
  • Rating: at least the number of stars you choose.
  • Asset status, such as Approved or To Be Reviewed.
  • Filetype: images, videos, audio, documents and vector files.
  • Any of your organization's own fields that are offered as filters.
  • Approval (pending, waiting for me, approved or rejected), for people who approve assets.

The number on the funnel shows how many filters are on. Click Reset to clear them.
Archived assets are hidden from the library and search results. To see them, filter Asset status to Archived.

When you have a search or filters you use often, click the ⊕ button (Save this search as a category), give it a Display name, and save. It appears under Saved Searches in the sidebar and remembers the category, search terms, dates, rating, status and file types. Click the trash icon next to a saved search to delete it; this happens immediately, without a confirmation.
