Glossary¶
Album — A named set of assets a person keeps under My Albums. Sharing an album is live: recipients see assets added later.
Asset — One file in the library with its metadata, versions, audience and history: a photo, video, document or vector file.
Asset status — Where an asset is in its life: Approved, To Be Reviewed, Not Posted, Delete, Retired or Archived. Only Approved assets are shown to audiences that require approval.
Audience — Who an asset is visible to: groups and people named by @mention, or @all for everyone in the organization. Set at upload and changeable afterwards by roles that may.
Category — An item in the DAM sidebar: a built-in one such as Recent or People, one your administrator defined in the Taxonomy, or a search you saved.
Checkout account — A group that orders can be billed to, with its name at checkout, allowed payment methods and billing codes.
Connector key — The credential an online store presents to send print orders to a Picsha Lab. Issued and revoked in the Lab under Settings, Lab Connector.
Destination — Where a product prints: a Windows print queue on a print server, or a minilab hot folder.
Fulfiller — A lab technician or workstation an order can be assigned to.
Group — An office, committee or team. Used as an audience (@mention) and, when marked as a checkout account, as the office an order is billed to.
Hot folder — A folder a minilab watches for orders. Picsha Print Server writes orders into it.
Job — One item of an order: a product, the file to print and the copies.
Location — Where an order is in the lab (Job Control, a printer, Finishing); a filter in the Lab's queue.
Order — A request for prints, products or creative services. Type dam when placed in Picsha DAM, app when sent by a connected online store, creative for a creative-services request entered in Picsha Admin.

Preset — A saved paper and settings choice on a Windows print queue, such as 4x6 lustre. Product routing names the preset a product prints with.
Print server — Picsha Print Server, the program on a Windows PC that receives jobs from Picsha Lab and prints them on its queues or writes them to hot folders.
Product — Something people can order: a print size, a document print, a gift item. A product routed to a destination prints; an unrouted one waits.
Role — A named set of permissions. Every person has one.
Route — The link from a product to a destination and its options, set under Settings, Printers in Picsha Lab.
Session — The batch an asset was uploaded in. Last 10 Sessions in the sidebar lists the most recent.
Share — A view of selected assets or an album given to people in the organization (private) or to anyone with the link (public).
Version — A saved state of an asset's file. Editing or uploading a replacement makes a new version; the current one is what people see and order.
